The Psychiatrist and the Proctologist

Best friends graduated from medical school at the same time and decided that in spite of two different specialties, they would open a practice together to share office space and personnel.

Dr. Smith was the psychiatrist and Dr. Jones was the proctologist; they put up a sign reading: Dr. Smith and Dr. Jones: Hysterias and Posteriors. The town council was livid and insisted they change it.

The docs changed it to read: Schizoids and Hemorrhoids. This was also not acceptable so they again changed the sign to read Catatonics and High Colonics - no go. Next they tried
Manic Depressives and Anal Retentives - thumbs down again.

Then came Minds and Behinds - still no good. Another attempt resulted in Lost Souls and Butt Holes - unacceptable again! So they tried Nuts and Butts - no way.

Freaks and Cheeks - still no good.

Loons and Moons - forget it. Almost at their wit's end, the docs finally came up with: Dr. Smith and Dr. Jones -
Specializing in Odds and Ends. Everybody loved it.

And to that end, hope the colonoscopy goes well today. "Working where the sun don't shine!" is on a cd I've had for years. Hope you have good news!

Well, not the best news but promising. Doctor found 15 polops, removed them and says 'I don't think they are cancerous but will check. Call me in 10-14 days.'

Then this afternoon went to Pulmonary Doctor and he said really mild COPD from your smoking years but no high level stuff and just have a 'Pro-Air' to be used as needed. Dermotologist burned off 6 or 8 skin tags and did a biopsy on a freckle which was negative. Personal Care Physician took away my Xanax and gave me something else to relax me at night cuz I dwell on things. I'm a gold-mine for Doctors down here.

Thanks for thoughts

Aren't we all. That's why doctors call it the Gold Coast. Florida is a gold mine for worst of class. 15 polyps @ $1,000 each. I'm surprised they didn't find more. Probably cut some in half to double the fees.
I don't know what your Xanax RX was but it should be weaned off of. I don't trust doctors and do most extensive research on my own. Sarge, you will be so ticked when your tests come back negative. All that for nothing.

Hey Sarge..just wanted to ease your mind.. Colon cancer runs in my family (genetic mishap) as a result we're very prone to polyps that develop at an early age and aggressively turn malignant,so I'm no stranger to the colonoscopy and having polyps removed.
The Doctors know what the Cancerous ones look like..and if they were then you'd be told, and results would be next day rushed. Otherwise the testing is almost always a formality. You're going to be fine.

Hey Sarge. Recently saw a documentary about how easy it is to get controlled narcotics in Florida. People were driving from as far away as Ohio to get their fix. They were lined up like they were at the DMV! That ought to tell you something. The doctors and the pharmacies are making a killing keeping people sick.

That was actually funny. How about "Whacks and Cracks," I worked with quite a few of them in the auto plant a few years back.

Welcome to UHH! I hope your visits are informative and friendly.
GraphicsLady, I couldn't agree more. Florida has recently cracked down on the pill mills because of the adverse publicity but this state government is one of the most corrupt in the country. A hundred years behind the times with a bunch of good ol' boys that run this highly populated state like it was Mayberry. Health inspectors are non existent.
The doctors here are the worst. You get 5 minutes if you are lucky and they are all the same. 40 patients a day. It's all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
