Hello everyone.
I'm finally home again from my summer travels and have lots of photos to post (when I get them processed). For a started I thought I'd display the Big Horn Sheep. Located him high on the alpine tundra on a ledge near a 2000 foot drop off. He was interested in a mineral lick and paid me no attention. Something moved on the distant tundra which seemed to alert and disturb this fella--as I caught this shot. The day was cloudy and dull, but the clouds made a great diffuser.
Shot with a Nikon 200-400mm lens plus tc1.4, hand held. ISO 400, F7.1 1/640. For the record that is a distant forest of lodgepole pines that is providing that soft blue/green background.
Thanks for looking.
Male Big Horn Sheep--he is about 4 years old
Wow, pretty cool. I almost thought you messed with the background it looks surreal.
A great shot. Sharp and well handled. You really have a talent for wildlife photography. Terrific.

Thanks for looking. No background work, just straight out of the camera. Camera setting do help a bit however. :-)
