OK it's Sunday afternoon here in the UK, not much to do, here's a puzzle with a mega prize to anyone who can be bothered to work out what's going on here...................................
and bonus points for the nearest "reconstruction".
Only attempt this if you're bored! :) :)

Looks like you are standing over a puddle with a grate over it.

Bang on Gelevel! It's a cattle gid or guard as they call them in US.

You win first prize, just reply with your bank details and
account number. Ha ha.

Thanks for playing.

I did JR. After in getting and messing with curves I found it very hard to get it back to original settings! But it wasn't a good pic to start with.
They're Berghaus boots, very comfortable!

Great photo, here in NZ they are called " cattle stops" we had one on the farm when I was a child, the gaps seemed huge to my small feet, and next to it was a farm gate, in case cattle needed to go onto the road. love the way you captured your shoes. Cheers, Nancy J

Thanks Nancy, although you're over-generous with your praise! I only posted it because I'd got nothing to do for a bit.
Here's the original.

Jim, not too generous at all, great photo, and an element of farm life, with your great boots in as well, they and the reflection all make it a great shot. Waiting for more from your place. Cheers, Nancy

Thanks Nancy  I hope you haven't been rattled too much by earthquakes recently, my cousin lives in Auckland but her hubby was skiing at Turangi and felt some wobbles.

Jim, we are about 209 km from the epicentre, which is south of us, and Turangi another 160km north of us, it was felt long distances away. Auckland, we lived in South Auckland for many years. This time, no deaths from the quakes, but so many aftershocks or lesser quakes, I haven't found the level that distinguishes it from one or the other. Cheers. Nancy.
