As you know I shoot sports, D7000s and 60Ds, I don't need a D600 and the D800 is overkill, does anyone here shoot sports with the D700.

I am interested because I believe it is an 8fps shooter with the grip.

Also I would be interested in the quality of the results, as I often print to A3.

And Yes I have used the "search" facility

Thanks

My my and after JR's little tirade this morning over someone asking for advice, seems the shoe's now on the other foot .
Perhaps you should google it until you get your answer, you know we can't be coddling these people .
And no I have no answer to the questions as I have never used a D 700 but if you will be patient I'm sure someone can answer your questions.

Thanks

I've done informal tests between my D 7000 and D700 and for me, there isn't a lot of difference in the image quality between the two, even at high ISO. Keep in mind, these cameras are from different technological times. The 7000 looks like it may have a bit more dynamic range, but not much. I had focus issues with the 7000 but none with the 700. For outside daylight sports, I prefer the D300s. It works better for me than the 7000. Faster and without that clunky (for me) menu system.

With the MB-D10 and the En-EL3e Batteries you get 5fps. Using the AA adapter that comes with the MB-D10 you get 8fps. You can buy the EN-EL4a battery adapter for the MB-D10 which will also give you 8fps.
Quality is excellent. I see no conceivable reason to upgrade my D700.

Graham

Thanks

And again JR1 and his name calling, tell us when someone approachs you for a potential shoot are you as rude and crude to them when they ask questions as you are to everyone here?
To each their own opinons , the truth hurts some and so far noone has had the balls to come foward and pm me personally, what I have to say I openly post for 1 and all to see , agree or disagree.
At 1 point I noticed that you were working on improving your people skills and your responses , sad to say but you have fallen back into your old arrogant , mego ego ways.
I shoot for my pleasure and relaxion and share a few shots along the way , no way do I claim to be a professional or do I want those headaches.
Yes I have seen your site and to be quite honest I am not impressed.
So take your ego and your so called followers and all of you have a wonderful day.

You're welcome.

I did read it, just couldn't understand why you needed to ask the question if you did use the search, so gave the link in case you used it incorrectly.

Oh, and I rarely use the UHH search as I like to interact with folks here, that is what a forum is designed for. New members with additional facts, fresh ideas and interesting opinions are always arriving.

Thanks 8-)

   What a TWAT you are JR1, for someone who doesn't swear and only uses CARP instead of CRAP, what has happened in this thread, forget yourself, or showing your true colours hiding behind " I'm dyslexic" again?
After all the fuss you made about using CARP instead of CRAP in other threads on this site, then the true JR1 comes out.
Before you start putting others down for what they say, think what you are saying or writing, and try to be more pleasant, it cost's nothing!
