Hitting the start timely is one thing - hitting it timely AT TOP SPEED is something else.

Sorry for hijacking your thread JR1, but you sure got me started on a trip down memory lane. IMO, nothing will take the place of the "thunder boats" when it comes to "in your gut" racing sounds. Supercharged 2000 hp Alisons and 3000 hp Rolls-Merlins did create thunder. Todays turbins just sound like loud mosquitoes (the insects).
Cheers, Neil

Hey Ted, I don't know if you saw these yet, but here are 2 'Speculations'
The newer one was in Valleyfield and was driven by it's new Canadian owner Kester Hamilton. He is buying 3 shots I took of it on the water there.
Bill Deglopper sold it to him.

In my class as Muncey said put them in. 225 in the 1st turn, you will find the good drivers. I mention, Joey Siracusa in the CountrybBoy, Danny Wahls in Just a Pest, Jonny Woods in Speculation, Bob Best from Seattle in FirstbEdition. Great racing club in Miami. I was out of Detroit, the Propriders. Funny, the guys out west showed good times, but did not do well against the people mentioned.. I miss it. You could run 3rd and4th and run forever. The guys winning had to be real careful.
