I tried it and prefer it without the people on the beach or the wood the wood distracts

In everyway to me at least. I like how the clouds look as if the are whipping past her. The contrast between light and dark it's very surreal looking.
I think it's a really great picture.

Thank you, I ask because too often people say great shot !!!, I want to know and I bet others do too "why"

Thanks for your interest and comments JR1. I photograph what I see and then with PP try to put my "feeling" at the time into the image. This was a pretty nasty day, not many people about and a girl working hard. I will, sometimes, crop out unneeded elements and tried cropping out the people but this didn't give me the balance I wanted. I never clone out objects such as the people or the piece of wood. I will obviously remove things such as an errant twig or similar poking into the frame. Call it integrity if you like ;-)

Graham, I have always admired your photography. :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: I believe without the branch and people, the picture would have been sterile.
