Has anyone seen this type of fungus onto a straberry plant?

It started with a yellow patch near the strawberry. I was curious over it but not otherwise alarmed. The next day the patch had migrated to the plant and overnight it became what you are seeing...

Take a picture of it to the County Extension Office. They could probably tell you the cause.

if you have been having hot, humid weather wherever you are, then it could be some kind of BLIGHT! If it is some kind of blight then it can easily migrate to other species of plants and the worst news is............... there is no cure for it.

Darn thing is back. Curiously it has no adverse effect on the strawberry plants...
