Got my copy of Photoshop Elements 10 and would now like your input with respect to the best training tool to get me up to speed. Adobe sure doesn't provide much!

Are there free training programs for Elements? If not, I'm looking for soemthing inexpensive.

As always, I value your input and thank you in advance.

Here's a site with alot of free video tutorials. They are for older versions of PSE, but the steps are basically the same. It helped me out.

Here's another one you can check out. It's cheap to join, and they also have some free tutorials.

As Wolfman mentioned, Photoshop Elements Techniques is AWESOME. It's a magazine (6x a year), as well as a members-only website with over 800 tutorials. (I utilize this in my teaching as well).

I have a code for friends and students to use to save $10 on a 1 or 2 year subscription. Use this link:

The Photoshop Elements Book by Scott Kelby & Matt Kloskowski is also excellent. Pre-order on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Photoshop-Elements-Digital-Photographers-Voices/dp/032180824X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1322846899&sr=8-1

Also check local Adult Education programs!

I just received PSE-10, and UHH bookmarked this thread so I can easily find it again. "Thank you" to all repliers.

It is a great book - I've had a couple previous versions. Easy to follow along.

I have taken several courses through www.ed2go.com. I took a nature photography course and also Photoshop. The classes run around $100.00 for a 6 week course but you get good comprehensive lessons (2 a week), you can all your questions answered, photos critiqued, and a quiz each lesson. I have found that kind of training a lot more successful than reading a book on your own. If the cost seems too much, I guess it depends on how much money you want to put into your photography hobby. Too me it was worth it because now I have a binder full of lessons and notes to refer back to.

I just installed new PSE-10 Disc #1. When I tried to load Disc #2, the programwould not engage, then gave a "Finish" button.

I uninstalled, then re-installed, but second time I was not asked for Disk #2.

What is on Disk #2? My PSE-10 seems to function properly.

Disc 1 is all you need for PC's. Discs 2 & 3 are for Mac installations. :-)
