It doesn't have all the "crapware" apps that typically come included with Verizon Phones or ATT Phones or Sprint Phones.
It is "just a smart-phone", but it's not Google Android, or Apple iOS or Windows Phone.... It's FIREFOX based...

According to the article, these are already being sold in some parts of Europe, so they should work with most wireless systems. Of course, there are 2 systems; CDMA and GSM, which are not compatible with each other. For more on these and to see which you have, check this out:
