I'm glad you included the reflection in your crop. That can really add to a picture. In this case, however, you've missed focus. It looks like some of the reeds in the back are more in focus. Because I can't download it, it is difficult to say if there is motion blur or not. In this case, spot focusing on the bird's head would have been in order. Was this hand held? What were the settings?

Keep working at it! Your work has been improving over the last few weeks.

This is a fun bird to photograph, when they spread their wings and or fly I appreciate their beauty even more.

I have family in the Cincinnati, Ohio area and want to take my grandchildren into the field with me when I visit them. Where is Sandy Ridge ?

Last winter I could not find a location for them to see Eagles except in NW Ohio which is a hike from Cinci.

Thanks for sharing,

Tom

Hi Birdpix, glad you liked the reflection included. The bird was at a distance so was hard to focus precisely on the head. I used a monopod. The iso was 200 and the fstop was 4.5 (from when I do close-ups). Thanks for the encouragement. :-)

They are very graceful, that's for sure. Sandy Ridge is in North Ridgeville which is near Cleveland. Cincinnatti is 5 hours from Cleveland. Your welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
