nice shot ,colour depth of field, pp. By the looks of some of those logs i'd call the borer guy.

Thank you Kingmapix for your honest opinion. I appreciate your honesty and I agree with you. I struggled with some blown out parts that I tried to patch up (near the top). I'm adding a new version of it.....what do you think?

Color in the last one is more realistic. I think I might like the mono version the best. Pretty much reduces the image to its essential qualities which, in my opinion, are the details in the wood.

I like #1--the bright, bold color, artistically done. Composition is really powerful. B&W looks like they've been in the fire--kinda ashen.
