I received a new Nikkor Micro 40mm 1:2.8G a few weeks ago and have been playing around. I found this old bicycle while out on a walk and captured this shot. I've posted it in both B&W and color. Please feel free to comment as I am just learning to use the macro lens and would appreciate feedback. Thanks!
I think the first is better, though on my monitor it appears closer to sepia.
I like the monochromatic sepia much more...The color just creates a distraction to an otherwise strong composition with good lighting!

I feel the 'yesteryear' quality more in the sepia shot.
Thanks everyone . . . . yes, it is sepia rather than B&W. I tried both and posted the sepia after I titled the post. Sorry for the confusion.

I'd go with the sephia also. Love both pictures, though.

Very nice I think number 1 also.
OSU, I think the sepia is the winner here. Might want to try adding a slight vignette, nothing too drastic. This of course is just one mans humble opinion. Either way, well done and thank you for sharing.
Thanks for the feedback 33rivers. I will definitely try adding a vignette.....it does seem to call for that in the sepia one. Glad you liked the image!
