Most definitely not in the middle in my opinion... put her on the left hand third or even farther to the edge.
Ya did good. I'm sure the lady liked it. But if you intended a portrait why not get closer- maybe midway between her elbow and shoulder and have her look a little to her right? A profile is nice too and I agree that it would be nice to move her to the left of the photo and give her a little more to look at. ;)

Hmm ... Lighting is lovely.
I suggest redoing the shot and have your subject sitting on the rock behind her with her far leg up on the rock in front with her left arm resting on her leg.
Have her back much closer to the LH of the frame and include about half of the frame blank in front so she appears to look into the distance. Crop it a bit tighter and shoot from lower down.
Sheez ... I sound like I still have my tutors hat on.
I know it probably very difficult to redo, but if you can with that lighting it would make a great shot.
Otherwise, just crop the LH side out a bit. Er no. A lot.
