This was one of several old horse drawn bailers I saw while recently in the Snowy Range in Wyoming. Workers brought the hay to the bailer to be fed into the hopper. Horses turned an arm on the front of the bailer, which in turn forced the plunger in and out to form the bales which came out to the left.
Taken with a Canon 60D and 17-55 f2.8 lens, no HDR (I made an HDR version also but don't like it).

Hi jeanbug35. I didn't really do a color version except as an over saturated HDR precursor from which to make a b/w version. Both are attached, but I think the b/w is over done.
The initial posted picture looks quite a bit darker on the UHH site than it does on my monitor for some reason, but that seems to happen routinely. I might need to brighten images that are to be posted.
