Very nice Marilyn. I've seen our local acorn woodpeckers take sips from the hummingbird feeder, too. Maybe it's their after dinner drink.

I am not sure what he thought was in there, but he was wasting no time drinking from it.
I found it rather amazing to say the least.
Thank you.
Beautiful shots, Mare. We often see chickadees drinking from our hummingbird feeders, so why not a woodpecker? But never a bluebird here in all the years we've been feeding birds. Which is a lot.

Morning Randy,
And Thank you.
We also have Chickadees, but generally they come back in once the weather turns chilly. Nothing so far.
I love the Bluebirds and unfortunately so does Princess .. she caught 2 yesterday while i was gone. Dreadful thing to have happen.
If i see her prowling when they are around i go chase her off and hope she catches no more.
shes by no means starving-but its got to be the thrill of the catch and meal afterwards.
They are such a beautiful Bird and to lose them to Princess bothers me a lot.
Faboulous set Marilyn...enjoyed them very much.
