You wouldn't know it from these shots, but they spent a lot of energy chasing each other! A couple of times zoomed so close to me, I could hear the buzz of the wings. So cool.

How impressive these are!
My next purchase will be the SX50, no doubt!

Nice shots. Looks like 3 poopooed on 4...
Great shots
95% of a hummingbirds diet is liquid. After a rest, just before launch, hummers will jettison unnecessary ballast.
Excellent shots as always Linda.
Very cool shots, Linda! I like all but #3. It's really good but nauseates me a bit :) But looks like he has perfect aim!
Excellent set, I admire your ability to hold and capture stunning pictures with this zoom!

Maybe the 60 will be out by the time you're ready! Thanks for your kind words, sassman. I do like my super-zoom :)

Makes sense - liquid in/liquid out. Love your jettison the ballast analogy :) Thanks for visiting, Nikonian.

Admittedly, it's not a "pretty" image. Sorry for the discomfort, Judi. Thanks so much for viewing and commenting.

Thank you Jimande. I really appreciate that. I basically stood in one spot for 40 minutes; it was a workout :)
