HDR Photography -- Before and After

Yesterday I met with the General Manager of Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad, and presented him with six of the previous posted HDR's taken at their restoration yard. He was very appreciative, and said he was going to frame them and display them at their Depot in Elbe, Wa. Unknown to me at the time I took the photo's his son was in one of them.

I hope train enthusiast will like this photo.

Very nicely handled in HDR. You captured the essence of the engine, enhanced the sky, and allowed the foreground to support the whole image. This looks more natural, as if seen through your eyes.

Very nice shot.:) .. Did you bump the color saturation down from the original? Just curious

Yes I did, I reduced the red, as I felt the bright red did not belong with the rusted age of the locomotive. I also reduce the green to not contrast with it.
