Shot with D7000 and Tokina 100mm macro lens, ISO 400, 1/250 sec at f/22 using Nikon SB-700 at 1/32 power. I need a lot more practice at focusing on a moving subject.
Looks good, knock the ISO down to 200 or 100 if the noise is bothering you. If you do you'll need to increase flash output 1 or 2 stops to compensate.

Thanks for the suggestion A-Peer. I'll try that next time.
Also, consider heavily diffusing speedlight to lessen shadows. Many of us on this forum are using commercial or DIY softboxes of approximately 6x8-inch face size. See bottom of pages #3 & #4 here:

http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-32754-3.htmlThanks Nikonian72. After reviewing your references, I've ordered a hot shoe ball mount to hold the flash with a 6x8 FotoDiox softbox and Kalt bracket. Can't wait to try it.
Excellent shot ! I can't believe you were able to get all of those big long legs inside of DOF. That's a very colorful daddy longlegs also; all of ours are a drab dark brownish color.
