Nice shots. When done this would be a good candidate for a HDR panorama. I would have set up a time lapse the second they started tearing off the existing roof!
That barn will probably outlive us all. They've added new purlins that they're attaching the metal roofing to but the existing decking is probably linking the rafters rather well. I find it interesting that they are attaching the corrugated roofing at the high points rather than the flats. The material install instructions I've seen in the past normally spec the attachment on the flat rather than the corrugation to avoid crushing I suspect. The gasketed screws probably work better on the flat verses the curved surface of the corrugation too. If this is really aluminum, I'd be concerned about crushing - normally I see the material as steel in different gauges.
I see they are cheating using a man/material lift - ok I probably would too ...

Thanks for looking UtahBob. Being an old country preacher I'm dont know the ins and outs of roofing. Just love the barn. They store boats and motorcycles in it during the winter. We have Skaneateles Lake nearby.
