I love pictures of fresh snow and b&w always seems to showcase them the best. Love the first one with its mood of isolation and its wonderful composition.

Thank you. That is my favorite of the day also. It was actually above freezing when I took that one. Now that I have posted it wondering if I shouldn't have cropped some of these a little differently.

I heard you got something like 9-inches that way last night.
GORGEOUS shots (and I'm sure the second one is not as much aesthetically pleasing as it was a RELIEF for you to see him on your road!)

That we did. Then the power went out just as we were going to bed and didn't come back on until 8am. But better that then 5pm, though we do have a generator that can run a few things at a time.

Curious now...how would you have cropped some of these differently? I think you did a great job!

Curious now...how would you have cropped some of these differently? I think you did a great job!
On the tree with the flare I think it would be a better composition if I had cropped farther down on the tree that is in front and above the tree that is the main focus.
And on the through my window maybe cropped more of the upper pane out.
