I have been to Bruges many times. It is quite a place. A medieval city that is still in use and about as picturesque as it comes. It is in the northern part of Belgium which is Flanders and the language is Dutch

That pic is really nice. Would you be willing to provide more specifics of the shot and the PP? Thanks

This was shot with an Olympus 5 mp point and shoot. Nothing really special. I have taken some great pics with this camera. My ex bought it for my birthday many years ago.

It is an unusually fine shot. Did you do any PP?

Just got back from there mid June. It's a great place. Posted several of my photos on this site.

I've often wondered about living on a canal...Is the inside of these buildings damp? Musty? Or otherwise affected by the water? Got basements? Thanks.

I lived on a rather large canal in Holland (About 50 meters across). There was a bit of land between my house and the water. Outside everything is covered in green moss and lichen. I will try to dig out some pics that show this. Inside it is not so bad. On houses like this they are always working to keep the moisture out. Most of the houses on canals in Bruges have been there for hundreds of years. It is amazing.

Thanks for the info, NikonNut. I like both images for their strong points. A different sky in the B&W would be cool if you could PP one in, JMHO. ;-)
