Huh? Not sure of the reason for the "racist" comment, but agree with the rest. Misogyny is so engrained in the psyche of most men that they are not aware of it and will deny it angrily if accused of it and say things like "lighten up, it was just a joke" or "women don't have a sense of humor".
I personally respect and love women and always have. As far as men having their brains up there asses, mine happen to be located as most men, in the head of their Johnson. To accuse someone of hating women because they told a 'blond joke' is, at least, ludicrous AND stupid.

I really don't know you very well or your attitude towards women so my comment was not aimed at you. My statement was, of course, a generalization and therefore open to debate. I was expressing my opinions on the subject rather than verifiable fact. You can disagree without a debate from me. My opinion on this matter, is just an opinion.

I do have one additional thought on the matter. Many, if not most, of the women i know would probably find "blond" and similar jokes about women's intellect or bra size, or other limitations, as demeaning or insulting regardless of the intent of the person telling the joke. So perhaps whether they are insulting or not comes down to which end of the joke you happen to be standing.

I fortunately know many liberal women and I can't think of one that would be offended by a 'joke'. I've been told blond jokes BY women. Maybe it's demographics. The Jersey girls I've known were savvy, street smart and no-nonsense. More likely to smack you in the head if you said something they believed to be offensive to their sensibilities. I always admired them for that reason.

Dear Diary:

Tonight, I thought my husband was acting weird. We had made plans to meet at a restaurant for dinner and drinks. I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late, but he made no comment on it.

Conversation wasn't flowing, so after dinner I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk. He agreed, but he didn't say much. I asked him what was wrong. He said, 'Nothing.' I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset. He said he wasn't upset, that it had nothing to do with me, and not to worry about it.

On the way home, I told him that I loved him. He smiled slightly, and kept driving. I can't explain his behavior. I don't know why he didn't say, 'I love you, too.' When we got home, I felt as if I had lost him completely, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore. He just sat there quietly, and watched TV. He continued to seem distant and absent. I think he's having an affair, I'll bet it's that new secretary.

Finally, with silence all around us, I decided to get into bed. I put on a new skimpy nighty and left the lights on low. About 15 minutes later, he came to bed. To my surprise, he responded to my caress, and we made love. But I still felt that he was distracted, and his thoughts were somewhere else. He fell asleep - I cried. I don't know what to do. I'm almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else. My life is a disaster.

HIS DIARY:

Bad day, lost $500 on the hockey game, spent $200 on a dinner I didn't like, but at least I got laid.

I don't know any Jersey girls that would smack anyone on the head unless they were being physically attacked, but then I don't hang around with "Jersey Shore" or the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" women as seen on TV. I personally have never known anyone similar to the women in either show. With regard to liberal or even Conservative women being offended by such jokes, I can only say we travel in different circles. Most of the woman I know would probably either be highly offended if the joke were told in mixed company, or would consider the teller of the joke an insensitive idiot. I'm not just guessing at this. I've both seen and discussed this and similar "issues" with many women over the decades since my days as an out of work musician in Greenwich Village. (I was in between careers in the mid '70s.) And yes, in my youth I told similar jokes myself but stopped in my 20's when it became apparent that women didn't like it.
