I'll try again. These should be the Western Dayflowers! If not I'm sure they're pretty.

I saw both of your posts and liked them equally well. As far which flower is which, I'm a city guy and its all green (or blue) stuff in dirt to me but I can recognize the beauty in your shots. Thanks for posting.

Yeah, isn't that a great blue? And I really didn't mess with the saturation or anything. We don't have just masses of wildflowers around here, so these are truly like gems.

I appreciate your saying that. We've had a drab few years and this summer we've finally had decent rains, so my eyes are just getting used to bright colors again! My last photos of these flowers were film.

Thank you for the compliment, city guy; it means a lot to me that you would comment on green and blue stuff in dirt! Too often we don't take the time to view the subjects that don't really appeal to us. I'm as guilty as anyone.

OH! They appeal to me I just don't get a lot of exposure to things of that type. There are several botanical gardens in N.Y.C. but somehow I never make time to go to them. I am a little envious of those who have "nature" just outside their door. But this is the life I have and it has many good things about it too so even though I can't tell the difference oak leaves or poison oak I still enjoy and appreciate when people post picture of "pretty stuff in dirt" for my edification.
I have tried to attach a picture from a typical N.Y.C. garden to illustrate my point.
