We live in one of the Antique Centers of Pa. This old relic has been sitting out in all kinds of weather for years. Any ideas? Thanks. One person I know seems to think it is a German WWII era armored vehicle of some sort??

It may be one of the early polar exploration Sno-Cat vehicles.

That's awesome! Looks like something from Mad Maxx. I live in western PA, and we got a lot of crap sitting around here, too.

It is probably someone's toy, but it does look similar to a Whippet-Tank http://www.fiddlersgreen.net/models/vehicles/Whippet-Tank.html

Definitely NOT WW II era. Look at the tracks, they are rubber belts with cleats mounted ala SnowCat tracks. This appears to someones home-built contraption on a SnowCat frame. The exhaust indicates a larger diesel power source. Perhaps it was never fully completed because the chassis wasn't heavy enough to support all that iron plating and it wouldn't move under its own power so it just sits near where it was constructed.

It is hard to tell MT. It could be something that was retro fitted with those tracks??? Just thought it was interesting and someone might get a kick out of it

Homemade and oh so cool! I'm thinking big mud tires and a trip to the local 7-11 mid-day.
