Still Looking For A Canon 430 EX II Flash

Has anyone heard of or bought merchandise from TheEstoreonline.com???? They are advertizing a new Canon 430 EX II flash for $219.00 with warranty. Most everywhere else they are selling around $299.00. Is this a case of buyer beware. As the saying goes "if it sounds to good to be true it probably is". What do you think?

Thanks Mogul,
I read that as well. I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and go to our local store. Shady businesses drive me nuts.

Plymouth34, why don't you take a look at the Yongnuo YN-568EX II? It functions just like a Canon 580EX II (master, slave, HSS, GN58, etc). You can find it for about $180.00. I purchased 2 of these babies two weeks ago for the price of one 580EX II. The only drawback is no external power connector but I can live with that. Here is one of the test shots I did to compare with my friend's 580 EX II flash.

Test shot with HSS setting of the YN 568EX II

Except that they won't work with ETTL with a Canon Camera right?

Not sure you can use it as a slave either. I have a 430 EX II. It would be nice if I could borrow her (my wife's flash) when I need two or more.

I think it's ONLY optical slave...aka when it sees another flash go off...it reacts by going off.

rpavich, the 568 EX II will. I have used it in ETTL, Manual, and Multi mode. You may be referring to a previous model YN 560 EX which now has the YN 560 EX II which does support ETTL. I am a Canon shooter... :)

Just to clear this up, the YN 568 EX II does support ETTL with Canon cameras. It can be used as a master and slave with other Canon and Yongnuo speedlites. The YN 568 EX, previous model; can do ETTL but can not be used as a master.

Here is the info page: http://www.yongnuostore.com/product/yongnuo-yn-568ex-ii-yn568ex-ii-flash-high-speed-ultra-powerful-gn-master-control-off-camera-speedlite_for_canon/
