Made famous by Ansel Adams the overlook is easily accessible from the roadside parking lot located nine miles north of Moose on the main highway. Tree growth now breaks up the once unobstructed view of the Snake River that Ansel photographed over 70 years ago. No matter how time has changed the view it is still one of the iconic views of the Tetons.
Snake River Overlook
Crop out the upper left cloud and I would buy a print at a store!
- You have to keep it though otherwise you have that shadow.
Beautiful! Thank you.

Excellent suggestion. Thank you. (I tried that on a copy, but you're right, I was left with a shadow but nothing to have cast it). :-(

I am sure you could 'heal' it, but it is so beautiful. Print it on metallic paper and gloat!!!

Thank you. Guess I best not "fiddle" with it. It looks OK on a wall here in my office.
Long ago, I had already heard that the United States of the teton mountains scenic, this picture makes me feel very surprise, grand teton national park really liked! Good photos!
I just brought up Ansel Adams "The Tetons and the Snake river" How interesting. I commend you since I now see how much work you went to get that framing just right. The image IQ is stunning and so is the framing. Good for you. I agree with the previous viewer though and think the cloud in upper left corner is too strong. That's subjective, however.
Fantastic, thank you.

Very nice, I'd hang it on my wall just as it is.

Thanks all. In that beautiful area, it's hard to get a bad photo. I can hardly wait to get back there at the end of the month. We've been going to the area every summer (and some winters) for over 40 years and I still find new scenes to photograph - many of which are "different" simply because the light is different.
Next time you are there, take more time to get several pictures of that beautiful scene. As the clouds move by the scene changes and you can pick your favorite shot later.

This shot was made on the last day of my time there, so didn't have time to wait around. The worst part was that, as you can see, it was late morning and soon the sun would be directly overhead, ruining any chance of getting good light until late afternoon. I'll be there again soon and have promised myself that I'll catch sunrise this time.
Nothing like a great set of tits
