What an absolute shame. The aunt compares the youth to Trayvon Martin!  This was not even close to Trayvon Martin like circumstances.
The aunt says, "This is unreal how the police can get away with murder. they just get away with murder."
Mom said that "he started becoming good"

Interesting article-14 yr old out at 3 am shooting at another suspected gang member but "he started becoming good"

No, the officers should have waited till the lovely little kid, who could have been Obamas son, punch one of them repeatedly first, before they defended themselves...for it to be similar to Martins case...

What an odd name. Shaaliver? He was just good boy doing bad things I guess. If you live by the sword you die from the sword probably applies here.

The police had a responsibility to stop him. He was chasing and shooting at fleeing people. What were the cops supposed to do? Get a bullhorn and holler out Yoo hoo, you there please stop shooting at those people or we will have to call some black officers and have them shoot you! Maybe if the cops had been black it would have been OK?

True, IF they "stalked" him first!

Not that it makes any difference but one of the rookies involved was black however the white officer is the one that fired 1 shot killing him. Some will complain that they should have "wounded" him to get him to stop.

sad when anyone gets shot... i'd rather have trained police officer enforcing the law, than some ignorant, untrained civilian stalking someone, approaching them with a gun, then getting scared and reacting.

So, your mind is made up on that one. What is the difference in being shot dead by a trained officer and an untrained civilian? Dead is dead. Being ignorant or stalking someone had nothing to do with it in either case.

I think the media edited this comment like they did with the George Zimmerman call.
The Mom actually said, "He started becoming good shot!"

First let me say that the police acted correctly.
Second let me say that this has nothing in common with the Martin case.
In this case the perp was pointing a gun, either at the officer or a third party and was shot in order to terminate the threat.
The officers were neither black nor white. They were blue and they're out there protecting you every day and putting their own lives on the line.
This thread should be about thanking them.
