Gret niece at Beltrami county fair lil tot's horse races.
I went to my home town last week and took pictures of my great niece in a few of her horse events. She had 3 horses to practice riding but only rode one in competitions. She had one of the horses with to ride with a crowd around as it had fallen on her the week before and her mom made her ride it to not be afraid of it. She did fine on this horse and is getting her confidence back. She did win 5 ribbons and 2 trophy's in her competitions. Here are a few photo's of her riding.
Barrel racing, fun to watch these little ones.
To the finish line in barrel race.
Pole race.
Neat-o, what a fun day! Great shots.
Thank you Linda, yes it was fun to watch her ride. She is just like her mother.

What fun she must be having and what a nice pony. You did well to capture the moment.
Thank you for your comment and yes she had fun. I know they give ribbons to all the contestants at this level to help keep them interested in the sport. Her mom loves this also and would have raced if her horse had not developed a sore on its leg a week before the fair. The horse in the pictures is named Magic and has been around this area with 3 different families.

My Arab horse who is long gone was named Magic Fadera, that is how I got my screen name. Horses will keep her out of trouble as she grows up, all you have to do is threaten being banned from the barn...it worked on me!
That sounds about how it works around their house. Do as your told and the horses and ATV's are allowed. Mess up and you have down time.
