My mistake for sure. It was actually an ad from Elecrosellers which is located in England. I will steer clear and at least shop in this country.

Simply Electronics is a UK based web company, quite reputable, selling this camera at £253.99 (GB pounds - not US dollars). This price is not far away from the Adomara price.

The UK abandoned resale price maintenance many years ago, and it is illegal here for a manufacturer to dictate retail prices to independent retailers. Shopping around is what we do to get a few pounds off, but many products manufactured abroad after being imported, are much more expensive than they should be even taking into account import taxes and carriage costs.

We also have a 20% value added tax on almost everything.

If you visit the UK, you can under certain circumstances purchase items without the 20% VAT, you could pick up quite a few bargains.

They're good but not perfect. You may want to consider B&Photo www.bhphotovideo.com

B&H, Adorama, Samy's...they are all top notch to deal with.

Both B&H's and Adorama's customer service is stellar and they have great money back guarantees and they ship fast and package well.

Adorama is the main competitor to B&H. I have bought from both, but have been happier with Adorama. They seem less indifferent and friendlier. I'm guessing they are not as big as B&H.
If they have what you want, buy it. SS

Who knows, or maybe they (Adorama) don't care and just want to make a sale...it's called kissing ass. Who cares if they are friendly or not UNLESS you frequent the store. Do the research online and ask here, purchase online and you don't have to deal with anyone. Personally I prefer B&H where I do frequent a bit.

I've done a little business with Adorama and so far I have no complaints. I hear good noise about them as well.

Let me repeat myself. I was mistaken about the ad. I did not mean to start a a controversy over this.
What I realized after reinspection was that the ad was by Electroservice, a UK based web service. In that ad they mentioned Adorama, and in my failure to comprehend what I was reading, I mistakenly assumed the ad was by Adorama.
After researching more properly I find out that Electroserve is often misleading and seldom the price they advertise is the price you pay when dealing with them. Enough about them.
Adorama, on the other hand gets excellent reviews and is highly regarded in the photography world.
I am sorry for anything negative that might have been generated.

I solely use Adorama. Good prices for quality products, very responsive to inquiries, same day shipping.

Adorama and B&H are extremely photography and lighting specialists. Do not hesitate to you either one as they are very reliable. A return policy that is the best.
You need not look back with either one and any purchase made there is guaranteed.
