This is a kit lens that was put on a new camera for a couple of weeks until the 18-200mm I ordered arrived. The 55-200mm was put back in the box along with all original accessories and is essentially new. The 5-yr. warranty form is still in the box. Unlike a refurb, this lens has had only a very brief time on a camera. (New price is $246 and refurbs run $99.)

Have this lens and have been very happy with it. Good price on lens too. Ken Rockwell has a great review on this lens. Good bang for the buck! Someone who is just getting into hobby should snatch this up quick.

Thanks juicesqueezer, it is actually sharper than the 18-200mm but I tend to shoot wide most of the time, so never had a need for it. I am in the process of re-equipping and will probably be selling some DSLR's too.
