I would like to thank all who have replied. The information has been very helpful in my decision. After a weeks after my purchase I will let everyone know how it worked out. By the way I just heard that Canon has issued an alert about the 1dx and1dc. I guess that means I won't be buying either(just a joke as I dont have the $ for either)
So which camera body ARE you going with?

Probably the Nikon d7100. You broke your Distal femur? We have something in common. I broke my proximal femur. I hate when that happens.

Just want to say it's a great choice! I recently stepped up from a Nikon D50 to the D7100 and WOW it's AMAZING! After you get past the owners manual (which you will need), you will start a wonderful journey, ENJOY & HAVE FUN!

I know that I said that I would probably go with the Nikon 7100, But I have decided to wait untill the release of the Canon 70d. The touch screen may be the trend of the future. With the Canon and an adaptor I will be ablr to use my 50mm 1.4 fd lens for portraits It will be in effect a 2.8 100mm lens. I will wait for reviews and then talk with UHH guys to get a real evaluation of the new platform. Continued thanks for all your input...It look like the new 70d will be about 300 less than the 7d. Money I will use for better glass.
