I have what is probably a dumb question for you sx50 users, but can't find the answer no matter where I look.
Does the lens have a focusing ring, or is zoom actuated by buttons? Is the zoom difficult to precisely frame a subject?
Thanks in advance.

Go get your manual and read it. You would be amazed what this camera can do.....( like assign one person in a group shot to wink and fire the camera.) there are internal adjustments that can be made to adjust sharpness , saturation , red , green, blue ,contrast etc ......

Beautiful location for colorful photos, isn't it? Colorado is my second choice of all the states. My first of course is where I live now, but only because it's 'home' Nice shots V22

If you find the answer please let me know, my sx50 sits in the cupboard unused, I am hoping the mirrowless cameras to be announced in August/September have coped with the focus at distance problem. Thanks for posting

Sorry to hear of your problem with the SX50 HS. My wife loves hers, as it focuses well on nearly everything. I even borrowed it from her a couple times to focus on something very far away at full zoom. The results were great.

Thank you Papa Joe. You are some correct there is no place like home. I need to get there sun rise after a storm thatÂ’s when the sky gets crazy colors.
