The outlet from Cranberry Marsh............
............becomes the inlet of Lake Ontario.
This narrow beach is all that separates Cranberry Marsh from Lake Ontario. Since it's a conservation area, fallen trees are never cut up and removed. The beach is open to anyone but only if you can get over, under or around the obstacles. I spend a lot of time here. It's peaceful and a wonderful place to sit and let your mind wander.

Joe, We have a cranberry mash here on our side of the lake but it has cottages and homes all around it . Yours looks and sounds a lot more relaxing. Nice shoot.

It is Wahawk. So many times I go there and don't see another soul.

Thanks RE. You can actually hear yourself think there.

Thanks Cur. I can almost see your house from that spot. Go to Google maps and home in on a spot between Ajax and Whitby on the north shore. The Cranberry is actually a small part of an area called Lynde Shores. That's the name you'll find on the map.
Very serene looking spot!

I can see why you love this spot. It's not only beautiful and serene, I bet the woodsy smells are wonderful, too - a feast for the senses.
Looks like a nice place to hang out. Nice set.
I was wondering with a name like Cranberry Marsh if they do or ever did grow cranberries there. I only ask because cranberry bogs are common near the area where I live. The bogs need a constant water supply so they are always near man-made or natural ponds.
