This GBH is pretty much a permanent resident in the FW Japanese Garden. He fishes in the Koi ponds & then often perches in this tree during the daytime.

The dragonflies, squirrel & other shots are from the Botanic Garden side of the park. It is a beautiful place to while away a summer day.

Thank you, Dlevon. We go over there several times a year, especially during the late Fall when the Japanese Maples are in vibrant color. I'll be posting those pics in October - November. The scenery then is brilliant.

I've been there to! It is such a beautiful, quiet serene place. There is a little stream running through it. You can sit on a bench and listen to the water.

Beautiful set

All are lovely Sue, but that GBH is an amazing photo! How close were you? Is this with the SX50?

And how come the pond still has fish if he/she is there every day? :) A friend in Calif. had a nice little backyard koi pond 'til a wading bird discovered it.

Thank you, tramsey, for your nice comments. We in the DFW area are blessed with several very pretty places to relax & enjoy the beauty of mother nature.

Thank you, Travesty, for looking & for your nice comments. I was really pleased with the #2 dragonfly .. the beautiful purple & gold pattern in his coloring is one I have not seen before. I also like the tiger stripe pattern on #3.
