Wow! Dr. Skinner the lecturer has nothing better to tell the students. How much dose it cost to go to that University. That wont help tham get a good job. No wonder they all end up working for the goverment.

Yes, so did this one, b 1170, d 1250.

Silly me. With maths brains like that they don't make them like that anymore.

Fibonacci sequences must increase, left-to-right. 5/8/13 worked; 8/5/13 does not.

I think the professor meant about something unusual occurring was that exact moment in time....representing numbers in the Fibonacci sequence. The Fibonaci sequence is well known in science. Take a look at a sunflower, for example. Count the number of curved lines formed at the center of the flower (by the seeds or the flowerettes before seed formation) curving in one direction and then count the number curving in the other direction. The numbers aren't the same but they are always two sequential numbers in the Fibonacci series. I love this stuff!

That is because of the way WE write the date numerically. Most of the world uses D/M/Y. The way it was described in the original post, it does fit the criteria except that it doesn't begin with 0 and 1.

1 - second
2 - minute
3 - hour
5 - day
8 - month
13 - year
21 - century

Can we reschedule this for 3 in the afternoon instead of 3 in the morning. I hate having to get up early.

Hal I am surprised at you! If you want a job don't go to college. You go to college to learn how to think and solve problems. They pay people more who can do those tasks. Interesting facts are of use because they cause a person to think.

For instance what is the equation that is used to figure out this principle?

I'm confused. In this particular post you actually come across as someone who can actually think and communicate.
Your previous and frequent posts make you out to be dumber than a bag of dog hair.

Don't short change your initial evaluation.

As the Fibonacci numbers are a sequence, one would be more likely to seek a formula that could be used to calculate any number in the sequence.
