Colorful houses in New Mexico

Was out walking around an older section of town and found these. What fun they were.

My favorite photography is shooting colors and shapes. You have done a wonderful job of capturing both in photo number one and photo number three. I'm also half Italian and was in the wine business for 40 years before retiring. Photo number two represents two of the most important ingredients for a great meal. Thanks for sharing.

Couldn't cook without those two, and a bit of onion and perhaps a tomato or three.
The houses were a surprise find as we were driving around looking for a way to avoid a lot of roadwork on the way to the dentist. Next day I was out and shooting. Am planning to check out more of the back streets for a few more photo ops.

The color and architecture of the homes in your pictures reminded me somewhat of the homes on Aruba. They look warm and inviting before you even enter.

I have to admit I was surprised to stumble on these houses, most of the ones around here are the color of dirt. Nice dirt of course, but dirt nonetheless. Since then I have found a few more that I want to shoot . Have you no colors where you live? Maybe a bowl of lemons and some red flowers against a lovely blue sky.

I imagine you're right. Lovely green forests, streams. Sigh. I bet there are the most wonderful things to photograph there. And wildflowers! And green hazy hills and valleys, so much I remember seeing when driving through that area years ago.
