Just got my first smartphone. Would like DOF calculator for my Galaxy S3. I know there are differences in accuracy so if you could include website for you recommendation it would help. Thanks.

There are several. Go to the play store and do a search on DOF calculator.

For Android, it's either GooglePlay [like iTunes] or Amazon's Kindle store.

I have 2 Android tablets. A Samsung Tab2, which uses GooglePlay, and a Polaroid, which uses the Kindle store.

Thanks again to all for responding. I was being facetious about the need for more to select from.

Since we can't see your face, nor hear the tone of your voice, something akin to <VBG> added to your post would indicate that you were 'tongue-in-cheek'.

I am using DoF Calc by Bitlutions. It is #43 in app store. It's a free app. What I like about it is the "circle of confusion" entry. You can enter in your camera as Nikon DX or FX or Canon APSC or FF. It bases the dof upon the camera sensor size. I use the app all the time.

Input distance can be entered in feet, inches, or metric. Output measure the same way.

A very versatile little app.

Good luck on your new phone! I got my first smartphone today as well...looks like it'll take me about a year to figure it out. It's a used ("certified good-as-new") Galaxy S4. I was just watching some videos of what it could do. The camera (more MP than my DSLR) has several features my regular camera doesn't, including video...I hope I don't get spoiled!! have fun! I'll try to take my first pic later today or tomorrow.
