Crab Spider

I found this little guy on my avocado tree. He was will to pose a lot for me. I used the Nikon 5100 and the 105 macro with different extension tubes. I didn't use any flash, I was experimenting with a piece of light tube and a mirror to reflect the sun. Let me know what you think please. This guys body is about 3/16" not including his legs.

The spider's abdomen color is much better in the subdued light of the third & fifth photographs. Direct lighting leads to high contrast & over-exposure on light-colored subjects. This is where light diffusion is quite helpful, either to even-out direct sunlight or speedlight illumination. Controlling light is paramount to good exposure.

Thanks Doug, I was playing with the light and the tubes with the F stop wide open
