With the help of UHH and my local camera club I'm submitting these photos to my local Fair so thought I'd share them here as well. They are from our recent trip to Alaska.
The mountain is Denali...the highest mountain in North America at over 20,000 ft.
Beautiful!! And all deserve to be winners!!
The color was great and I love the bear eating dandelions.
Awesome!! If I were a judge I'd have an awful time choosing, but the bear is probably my fav. The mountain is beautiful, but a typical scene where the bear is in the midst of wildflowers with some in his mouth. That's a bit different from usual bear photos. Of course no one is ever going to ask me to judge photos, I can bearly (pun) take a decent one myself :) Good luck!
All three are great Pics,
and I agree that the Grizz is # 1 but the Mountain Goat is a close second as his Staring Pose is intriguing. Nice composition and crisp, clear colours and texture. The Mountains Colour and contrast is Great. Thanks for posting and good luck in the contest. I'm sure You'll Place with these.
If you do not get ribbons on these..........I would be STUNNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful!! I'm sure you will win awards for these.
Thanks for the comments.
The competition is very stiff so I really don't expect anything but the nice feeling that they will be on display.
The guy with the horns is a Rocky Mountain Big Horn sheep, taken in Jasper National Park, Alberta CA on the way to Alaska.
Still waiting for the final prints from Bay Photo and then need to mount them.
All 3 are outstanding.
