There are cat owners here I want to ask a question or two of.
1. Do all cats smile, mine appear to when stroked, is it just my interpretation
2. Do all cats sleep so much

So it isn't my imagination then
Mine seems to appear to smile at me when being stroked. She purrs like crazy and gets this very content look on her face with a little grin. My dog smiles, so why not our cats as well :) As far as sleeping mine still gets those times when she will roam the house (while we are sleeping, and that's when she should be too(lol) but she does sleep a lot.
Yep, smiling cats rule!
Debbie
JR... cats will actually smile when they see something very funny looking. :-)They are nocturnal. They sleep all day and prowl around the house at night when you are asleep.
I love cats and had a cat rescue when I lived in Connecticut. Always had about 20. Had them spayed, neutered and regular vet visits. They were inside/outside because I had a nice piece of woodland for them to roam.
Great clean, smart animals, easy to care for and affectionate. I have only one now and she is a beaut - calico. Very intelligent and friendly...an angel.
Peace, Ray.

My cat Ted looks at me when he wakes up, curls his top lip a little then opens and shuts his mouth lots of times as if he is meowing - but nothing comes out

I wish I could fall asleep in 20 seconds
Cat book says they sleep about 18 hrs per day.

They sure know how to find the 'comfy' spots. My cat 'Zoe' talks a lot. Very vocal. Does yours?
