tips for city life theme photography

hello friends
I am arpit mehta
I am a beginner and I am using a bridge camera Sony dschx300
can you please help me out with what camera settings can I keep for street photography or any other photography which suits this city life theme.
I have monsoon season going on so hardly does the sun come out.

Having to worry about torrential rain I would not complicate things by trying to work with manual settings. i would choose automatic with center focus and shoot many pictures. Your 50X zoom gives you great freedom to shoot from a building's or a vehicle's interior, protected from the rain, but if you are exposed to the rain I would recommend some simple cover over the camera.
