Anopther day of UHH navigation problems.

Every so often, after reading a post in UHH, when I click the "back" button to return to the list of topics, nothing happens. If I want to return to the list as presented in that days email, I have to close out the UHH tab, and re-entered from my email link. Others previously posted that they experienced the same problem.
Well, today is another one of those days .... (sigh)

I have this problem too, I think it is because the ads load and reload so when you push the back button, it successfully goes back one ad, when I click on the back button a second time, it actually goes back to where I thought it should have gone the first time.

:roll: Hello Photo-Al. I have noticed that on occasions too. I thought it was just issues with IE9 and IE10. I noticed it in IE9, other issues in IE9 too when trying to print something and it locked up, had to restart again. So, I upgraded to IE10 and find, once in a while, this issue happens while on UHH. When it does, I just click on Watched Topics, and the cycle is broken. I don't have any idea now, why or what the issue is. :-(

Yes, this is the case. You have to hit your back button 2x to go back 1 page if you have been on a page for a long time reading posts. The ads count as a page to the browser.

It can be a browser problem that is why this is on the toolbar, click it

Most of the issues are with the ads and attempted pop-ups.
ALL browsers experience this at times, and there have been times that there is no way out of it except to reload the page totally.
I am using Firefox and Chrome and rarely use IE. There are very few sites where IE is an advantage, and my overall preference is Firefox.

I have had that issue a few times. When it happens to me I click the "refresh" button to refresh the page, and then click the back button, works every time.

:thumbup: Thank you JR1 for that information. I was leaning in that direction as the reason, as the issue was infrequent enough, that I could not state for sure that was the cause. It makes perfect sense though. And, I agree with the article. If you know what the problem is, since the programmers decided to "exclude" older versions, why not fix it and be done with it. End the frustrations BEFORE it becomes an issue. :thumbup:

Are you only reading the topics in the daily digest and don't care to browse "newest topics" list? Wondering why you go back to your email?
You can also do the "open in new tab" function; then you never have to use the back button - period.

Why use the back button at all? Why not just select "open in new tab" for each link or post you want to view?

I've also added AdBlockPlus to Chrome and FireFox.
I don't see ANY ads here.
I only use IE as a last resort.

When I use that with Amazon, I can't go back a page with the Back button, so I disabled it for that site.
