How to give credit for photo published in book

Good Morning Everyone :)
I need a little help and apologies if this is in the wrong place. For those who don't know me, just a quick background. Have taken photos for a Canine Obedience Academy for the past couple of years and am trying very hard to improve my photos as I am representing a business and I truly love what I do. I currently do not do this professionally and love seeing the joy on the students faces from the canine academy when they receive their dogs portrait, but some have suggested I get my foot in the door, if for nothing else but to cover the cost of the paper, ink and time. I truly love taking dog photos and after people asking me "do you have a business card and what do you charge" I had some business cards printed up.
On my business card I have:
D. Smith Photos
Pet Photography

and then phone number, email, etc...
One of the students from class has co-authored a book about her dog who was rescued and she would like to include a photo I took of her pet in the book.
My question, is it ok for me to have her credit my photo with these words:

Photo courtesy of D. Smith Photos

As mentioned, I have not been paid for any photos I've done so far, does this make me sound like a business even though I haven't gotten paid for anything so far. I would be tickled pink if this would open doors for me.

I know this is the best place to come for answers and look forward to comments on this and giving big "thanks" in advance.

Not being a professional photographer myself I can't answer with authority, but I don't see any reason you can't have a credit like the one you suggested. It's not intended to defraud anyone, so there should be no harm/no foul in it.

Besides, business or not, your photos are better than those I've seen from some of the so-called pros out there!
