Should have known better.
Has anyone been as foolish as me and put a Ricoh 28mm lens on a Pentax K100D and notice it doesn't come back off. I was hoping someone could suggest how to remove it without harming the camera. I know it was stupid so I don't need any help or suggestions with that part. Seems there is pin on the lens that isn't needed or wanted on the newer dslrs. Any help appreciated. I really like the camera but don't desire a dedicated wide angle. Thanks in advance.

No, I think most people will only use lenses that are made for the cameras they use, it's like putting diesel in a petrol engine, 99.999999999999999999% of people wouldn't.
If there was a lock pin on the lens that has engaged in the camera, then it's a camera shop expensive dismantle bill that will far exceed the cost of a "dedicated" lens

I can see that some may want to do this to their gear but why, god, lenses are cheap enough pre owned in fact less than £100
Thanks wrr. I appreciate it. Thanks to you too Jr. I see you are still maintaining your holier than thou attitude.

Hahaha that is a matter of conjecture, One person refers to me here as "old man" as in "well old man, I like that shot" to some he would sound patronising, to others it is simply "how he speaks, and was brought up.
I didn't say you were an I***** for doing it, I simply said most people, and rightly so, would not have done it
I stand corrected. I guess I should be satisfied you acknowledged my problem. What would the world be like without we who not perfect. Thanks anyhow.

That's the reason I said "oooops" cuz I can see myself doing the same in other areas of my endeavours..... and have.... Been there done that... glad someone knew how to fix it.....
After all that if you still have a problem getting it off, we have a camera repairman on the forum, Rick RIggins. He has done some work for several on the forum. His prices are VERY reasonable because he works out of his house and keeps his over head down. He has done some work for me and I am very satisfied. He has a website, here's a link

Thanks tramsey. I remember reading about this gentleman previously.

Maybe not but I once managed to put petrol into my diesel.
Fortunately I realized it before starting the engine. Siphoning out 20+ gallons of petrol mixed with some gallons of diesel wasn't pretty. Think about what you do with the stuff. Fortunately the station was out in the boondocks...
It has something to do with being mindful. I continue to work on that.
Let us know how things turn out or off :D :D

I'd say all is not lost. Just had a good look at the above link. It would be a fiddley job but I reckon it would work. :D
