R.I.P. Floppy

We all grow to love the wildlife that routinely visit our backyards. I want to share Floppy with you. For about 5 years Floppy was a regular in our yard. He wasn't shy and knew the dogs were confined to a dog yard. The first of the month he was killed in the road as crossed over into the yard. I was heartbroken. He was named Floppy for obvious reasons. The same way we were always able to identify him.

Thank you for sharing. Our son had a miniature rex as pet. I was very opposed to bringing a rabbit into our home. The life expectancy of the mini rex is 6 years. "Sweetie" graced our home with her love and affection for 8 1/2 years. We all grew to love her antics. Needless to say, it was a very sad die when she expired. I am constantly amazed at how attached we become to animals.

Yours is a magnificent story. Love your photos of Floppy!

Your story reminded me of when we had a pet rabbit in the house. The kids were little and Slick, a lop, was kept in the laundry room. I had layed some jeans on the floor to wash and left. Needless to say that when I returned Slick had chewed holes in all the jeans.

Too funny! Been there, done that! I was on the receiving end of one or two "nibbles" from holding Sweetie while she would start to nest. Nothing horrible, but every now and then she could grab your attention!!
