Living Water

These pictures are of a sand sculpture at Grace Community Chapel near my home. The first picture shows Dan Belcher of sand sculpture world-wide fame working on the 2013 sculpture for the chapels annual sand festival. He has done one of these sculptures every year since 2008 at the chapel for their sand festival. The second picture is an HDR rendering of three bracketed photos taken today, 3 days after the sculpture was finished. It rained very hard during the night last night and deteriorated some of the lower portion of the sculpture. Dan Belcher is known world-wide for his talent, winning many awards. They usually last 2 to 3 weeks depending on the weather. Hard rain is real destructive to the sculptures. And rain promotes the growth of weeds on and around the sculpture.
