90MM Sigma autofocus macro

Here is a 90mm macro that was returned to me defective when I sent it new and perfect to its buyer. My guess is, that he switched the lens for one that was missing a part. I think it is the Af/M switch.

I may sell it if I get and offer, but most likeley, I would fix it if I could get the part and it was easy to put in place.

Any ideas?

Other than that, the lens works in manual mode. BTW it is a sigma with Nikon mount. Offers accepted.

It is not an AF/M switch it is the a limiter switch for macro versus normal use, I have this lens for my Sony.

Thank you! I couldn't win that to ebay. Buyer protection sucks. No protection for seller against tricks like this.

If you took pictures before hand of the lens showing the serial number of the lens then take a photo of the one he sent you back you could contest it with Paypal.

Always make sure to take pictures of any lens you sell and record the serial number

I AM DOING THAT NOW. I had photos, but to no avail, of the intact lens. But I did not photograph the serial number area at the same time. It is so engraved it is almost invisible and at that time, a few years ago, I did not know the ways of bad people on ebay, silly me.

Ya, they'll screw ya if you give them the chance. Live and learn. We have all been through getting zinged by someone we trusted. If you know positively that the lens was in great shape when sent, I would contact eBay, PayPal, whoever was involved. Maybe this person has a history.

It was a long time ago. I sent photos of when I sent it, way stored all my lenses, the sturdy case, etc... Problem was, I did not take photo of SN and did not have it written down to prove it was not the same. That is passed and forgotten now, I am very careful with that now. as, you say, live and learn. I felt terribly robbed and impotent and did not sell for over a year.

At least you felt important wearing that new robe. :-)
