Lightroom 4 file handling

I have Lightroom 4 installed and have been using it for a while. When trying to reinstall some deleted photos I noticed that the File Handling option no longer shows on the right hand tool bar. This (obviously) contains the option that prevents duplicate pictures. It can be brought up by clicking the arrow on the lower left side but adding duplicates is not changeable and other items are. I have researched this and can see no way to turn this feature off/on. I even reloaded the LR 4 software in case I had done some stupid that I wasn't aware of. I searched the archives and didn't see anything. I have been to the Adobe site and everything I see shows it where it is supposed to be and makes no mention of being able to display/not display this feature. Anyone have any suggestions.

You need to save it as an image file.
Then upload it as a picture.

Look here.

Hi dhaywood, I have LR4 & 5 fixing to go back to LR4, did you delete the photos in LR or outside of LR?

Deleted them outside LR 4. I did finally discover what I had done to loose the File Handling option. There is a list of options shown by placing cursor in blank area under options on right side, press right mouse button and you can pick option that will show. At some point I obviously unchecked the File Handling option. It's now back. I also started looking at the videos available for for LR on the web. That has helped a great deal.
