Mogul, I certainly will not deny that it happened. BUT, it's a very long marathon from MP to Cusco, not to mention that Cusco is at 11,000 feet, and all uphill from MP. But when you're a stud with an 8x10, anything is possible !! SS

Galen shot 35mm.

. . . (And it had a Lama standing in the foreground, which is half of what made it a world class shot); so when you get there, find some Indian with a Lama, give him a couple of bucks, and get that Lama in YOUR foreground ! (you'll be glad you did !) (and try to get a look at that magazine before you leave ! )

If you google images for Machu Picchu, there are several different pics with a Llama in the foreground.

A llama(pronounced, Yama), looks like a small camel but without the hump. SS

Loosely translated a Lama is a Buddhist monk, priest or teacher (based on where you are and with whom you are conversing.

The one L lama, he's a priest
The two L llama, he's a beast
And I will bet my silk pyjama
There isn't any three L lllama.

Mogul, that's pretty funny. Hadn't heard that one before.
But if Dali had a llama, it would be Dali's llama. SS

I would't know a lama from an alpaca if two of 'em bit my ears off! (But I'm pretty sure it wasn't a vicuna )

What I AM sure of though, it totally MADE that picture! Best picture of Machu Pichu I've ever seen......

Thanks Phil! I'll do that; I've always loved to look at pictures of Machu Pichu; my daughter spent her senior year of high school as an exchange student in Lima, and she went to Machu Pichu and Cuzco while she was there, and took a ton of nice pictures.

LOL ! I guess it's a llama without enough "l's"

actually, the people in Peru who own them call them "yamas"
(I think)

Still haven't seen 'em; still believe they're alpacas, not llamas.
