I was looking for a waterproof camera, 200. or under. I picked the fujufilm xp60 instead of the nikon as it has 16mp instead of 10. But not as happy with pics. If subject is not totally still it blurs. Am I just spoiled with my regular camera that will stop movement? Or is there camera that will do a better job stopping movement and also underwater ok? Or maybe it is a great camera and I just have to learn. I dont want to pass the time to return it if that is what I should do . Any help from people who have the waterproof and what they like? thanks

Don't have personal experience, but the Olympus and Nikon waterproof cameras seem to get the best comments on here.

I have an Olympus Tough and like it very much - except for taking pics of moving children. The shutter lag on this camera is long enough that the little rascals manage to get out of the picture frame before the camera decides to take the photo after I press the shutter button.
OTOH, when we were in Jamaica 3 years ago, this little camera was the most borrowed one - by the people going snorkling! Fish obviously move slower than children because there were some really good "portraits" of fish. I never went snorkling myself, but sure enjoyed the photos (and video) others took with this camera.

I've used the Nikon with impeccable results.

Like the first poster said, Nikon and Olympus seem to be pretty popular. They are classified by how deep you are going to use them.

Mt daughter recently purchased an Olympus Tough TG-620. She got it from Shoppers Drug for about $60. So far, she is pleased with the pictures, both wet and dry. And all her pictures are of her three little ones. It was too good a deal for her to pass up. I also got one at the same price to use instead of my Canon 60D when I'm at the pool or lake but haven't tried it out yet. If I have an opportunity later today to use it, I'll post a picture to show results.

A look here might be of assistance. I have the Nikon AW110 but I think there are better.

I just purchased a Nikon 100AW 16MP for $169 refurbished at B&H. Can't tell it from a new one. I'll use it while creek fishing and wading.
